Exercise 8 Superfluous words

When using this tagging system for mark-up of name records we sometimes include superfluous words or phrases such as ‘by the grace of God’. In Document 8 we shall encounter ‘his dead son’. The word ‘dead’ is an adjectival description of the son at the moment of writing but we would not normally include such words as descriptors in a name record. It is, of course, important information that we should want to use in a later stage in preparing our Person records.
